We provide gear manufacturing and industrial gear repair for custom, replacement, obsolete and low-volume applications. Our team supports spur, helical and double-helical gears, pinions, gear shafts and related industrial components from our Marine City, Michigan facility.
Projects can begin with drawings, CAD files, specifications, sample gears or existing components. Riverside can support new custom gear manufacturing, repair evaluation, replacement gear manufacturing, reverse engineering and emergency gear needs based on the condition and requirements of the part.

Riverside manufactures custom gears to customer drawings, dimensions and application requirements for new equipment, replacement needs and industrial machinery. Projects can range from one-off components and prototypes to low-volume and larger custom production requirements.

Riverside supports industrial gear repair for worn or damaged components when repair is practical.
The existing gear can be evaluated to determine the extent of wear or damage and whether critical features can be restored within the required tolerances. Depending on the component, repair work may involve machining, grinding, restoration of specific features or other corrective operations.
When repair is not the best option, Riverside can manufacture a replacement gear instead.
REPLACEMENT & REVERSE-ENGINEERED GEARS
Riverside manufactures replacement gears for damaged, failed, obsolete and hard-to-source industrial equipment. Projects can begin with original drawings or CAD files, but Riverside can also review existing components when documentation is incomplete or unavailable. Critical dimensions, tooth geometry and other features can be evaluated to support a reverse-engineered replacement.
This capability can be especially useful for legacy machinery, discontinued OEM components and equipment where standard replacement gearing is no longer readily available.
CUSTOM AND LOW-VOLUME GEAR GRINDING
Riverside supports low-volume gear manufacturing for one-off components, prototypes, replacement gears and small production quantities.
This gives OEMs, maintenance teams and industrial customers access to custom gear manufacturing without requiring high-volume production. Projects can include new components, replacement parts, obsolete gears and specialty industrial gearing.
