Riverside Spline & Gear announces the purchase and installation of our newest Bourn & Koch. This hobber is a 400H-E with extended cut length. The machine can accommodate an 80” shaft and has a cutting length of 74”.

We have modified the machine to add the 6th axis (A axis) which allows for automatic and precision programming for cutting double helical pin

ions and stagger tooth applications.

The hob and work spindles are on 12” centers allowing for larger diameter parts and can cut teeth as large as 2.5 Dp.
